It’s not every day that you get your car delivered to you by the greatest female racer in the world, Danica Patrick. Danica Patrick delivered the world’s first 2016 Chevrolet Camaro to Alican Boyacioglu of Lewisville, Texas. The first American to receive the next gen Camaro with a V8 engine has been a hot button topic for the past couple of years. This event happened on Saturday in the Texas Motor Speedway.
The process by which the car was delivered was also pretty great. This delivery was done as a part of the Chevrolet campaign, where several people were invited to participate in the journey where the Camaro visits all 48 states in America. When the road campaign reached Texas, lucky Alican received his brand new convertible.
Aside from the meet and greet with Danica Patrick, Alican was introduced to the Camaro Chief Engineer Al Oppenheiser and Camaro Design Director Tom Peters. It seems that Alican loved the VIP treatment he had received, since he was quoted saying that the entire experience felt so surreal to him and that he couldn’t wait to take his new car out for a ride.
The car was one of thousands that were delivered around the country. The company hopes that after finding out about Alican’s amazing experience, other buyers will show interest in buying Camaros.
The V8 Engine gives the vehicle 455 Horsepower. The new Camaro is also smaller than the previous generations, has a shorter wheelbase and is around 200 pounds lighter than the 2015 model. Another change made to the 2016 model is the chassis having an independent suspension.
The Chevy Camaro 2016, will be shipped early next year along with the 3.6 Liter V6 version.
